Vacancies for Workshop Joiners - Templepatrick February 2016

We currently have Vacancies for Workshop Joiners at our premises in Templepatrick February 2016

We offer a Full Service and Supply Only Service to customers throughout Northern Ireland and a Supply Only Service to customers in Mainland UK and Southern Ireland.  Based in Templepatrick, County Antrim we Manufacture over 150 Kitchens and Bedrooms every year. We have a great team of people working together to provide good quality Kitchens and Bedrooms.

At present we have 2 vacancies:

1. Senior Workshop Joiner  

Duties: Manufacture kitchen units and components, including specialist items. Produce complete kitchens from plans and cutting lists. Check plans and cutting lists for accuracy. Operate a range of wood working machinery including panel saw Be responsible for Health and Safety in the workshop and on site maintenance and servicing of workshop working machinery. Maintaining stock levels. Use site tools safely and accurately. Supervise 2 members of workshop staff. Bring all components together in preparation for complete kitchen dispatch including fixings, appliances etc.

Experience: As a Senior Workshop Joiner, the role requires extensive experience and workmanship of the highest quality and attention to detail. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in: Manufacturing kitchen components, including specialist items, Working with timber and the operation of workshop wood working machinery. Must have the ability to: Read, interpret and cut from detailed plans. Order materials for the completion of kitchen orders and maintain stock levels. Work under pressure and to deadlines. Work within a team of colleagues and tradesmen and supervise 2 members of Workshop staff. Act on own initiative to resolve issues. Have excellent customer service, organisational, communication and mathematical skills. Must hold a current driving licence. NVQ Level 2 in Joinery (or equivalent).

2. Workshop Joiner

Duties: Making kitchen and bedroom carcasses. Measuring and working with timber. Operation of workshop wood working machinery including a panel saw. Reading and understanding of detailed plans and cutting lists. Monitoring and reordering stock levels.

Experience:
We make all our own Kitchen and Bedroom carcasses so extensive experience of workshop joinery and the making of Kitchen and Bedroom carcasses to a high standard of workmanship is essential. Working with Timber and the operation of Workshop Wood Working Machinery including a panel saw, the reading and understanding of detailed plans and cutting lists is also essential. Monitoring and reordering stock levels to ensure all deadlines are met is part of the duties as is the ability to work with a small team while being able to act on own initiative to resolve issues and take responsibility for accurate completion of all items. Experience in manufacturing specialist items would be an advantage. A current driving licence and an NVQ in Joinery or equivalent is required. Only those with extensive experience should apply.

Both positions requires extensive experience in the understanding of plans, the manufacturing of a wide range of timber carcasses and the operation of machinery.
